254  Musical Presentation Statement (NR)  (Variable Data Field)

Field definition and scope:

Field 254 contains the musical presentation statement for printed or manuscript music.  The musical presentation statement describes the format of the edition which may differ from that of another edition of the same work; for example, a string quartet published as a score, study score, score and parts, or a set of parts.  The field is not used for sound recordings.

The National level record requirement for this field is Mandatory if applicable.

Field 254 is NOT repeatable.
