Field 516 does not end with a mark of punctuation unless the field ends with an abbreviation, initial/letter, or other data that ends with a mark of punctuation.

First indicator - Display constant controller

The display constant Type of file: may be generated based on the first indicator value (i.e., "#").  First indicator value "8" specifies that no display constant is to be generated.
