Description/Instructions

Field 508 is used for notes containing the names of persons or organizations, other than members of the cast, who have participated in the creation and/or production of the work.  For serials, field 508 is used primarily for videorecordings.

Narrators may be recorded in field 508 or in field 511 (Participant or Performer Note).  In general, an on-screen narrator is recorded in field 511 and a voice-over narrator in field 508.

For serials, designations (usually dates) may be given to show the span of issues for which the person or organization was associated with the production.
